My name is Grace Cho. I am a 22-year old Cornell graduate, and I am the founder of DE LA MUZE. Born and raised in Seoul, Korea, I grew up in a culture with a distinct appreciation for fashion and beauty, and over time, I too began to develop a love for this space that became particularly apparent when I moved to Upstate New York for college. Living in a place that was so isolated from this industry, I had to look to social media to keep up with trends and find new inspiration. However, the disconnect between social media and ecommerce made online shopping feel uncomfortable and overwhelming as a consumer, so two years ago, I developed the idea for DE LA MUZE. I hope to grow it into an empowering space where women can connect with their inspiration!

I've always lived between cultures. As a half-American, half-Japanese expat growing up in Singapore, I've never fit in one box. Straddling both Eastern and Western cultures, I love exploring the worlds of fashion, art and design- especially those that take influence from the two. 
In 2015, I graduated from Stanford University with Bachelors and Masters degrees in International Relations and Psychology. My experiences at iconic brands such as Tiffany & Co. and Estée Lauder have shown me how the consumer journey takes place now and how it will evolve in future. My goal is to create a platform that reflects the way consumers want to discover and be inspired by women around the world.  


We believe in the power of women. According to the World Economic Forum, it will take 208 years to achieve gender equality in the United States. Now is the time for all of us to work to close the gender gap. In retail, women make up the majority of the workforce, yet only 12% of retail CEOs are women. In an industry fueled by female influencers and female consumers, we need to change this. At DE LA MUZE, we put women centerstage and ensure the influencers who create the inspiration to shop from brands are fairly compensated for their role and work. 

We stand with the thousands of women who have come before us to forge the path so that we might be able to create a more gender equitable world. In the words of Maya Angelou: We Come as One, but We Stand as Ten Thousand.
